Haven't been on here in FOREVER ... figure nobody reads it anymore anyway ... not with Facebook around. I'm still in school ... working full time too... nothing changed. Hope all is well.

Ready or not... I got three classes to focus on. These will be my last courses to take at the junior college ... start the senior college in August.
Hope all is well your way.
Actually, I was reminded today that I haven't blogged in a while (SORRY)!!
I like to hang out on Faceb**k a lot so that's where I've been lately. I haven't really crafted in a while or scrapbooked for that matter. School is still currently out right now but starts back the first of June.
I hope all is well.
Just got back from The Orange Conference and I had a blast....so grateful for the opportunity to go. This was good for my spirit. School and work and pretty much everyday life sometimes get you side tracked of what is really important in the world... and this conference was just what I needed to find the center of my heart.
I have always wanted to sponsor a child somewhere (you know... you see the TV commercials and change channels)... well.. I finally did it yesterday. I signed up with Compassion and am officially sponsoring a precious little boy from the Philippines. He is 6 years old and will now hopefully be able to get involved in school, become more active in church and also be provided with the medical attention every child needs. The good Lord blesses me everyday ... and it's high time I show uncondititional love to a complete stranger. It just makes your heart fill good....and makes God smile.
I hope all is well your way. Please take time to check out the two links above.
Let's see...what's been happening in my world lately. Well, I have two final exams finished with three to go (next week). I NEED A BREAK FROM SCHOOL. I have a church conference coming up next weekend..should be fun and renewing for my spirit. I am going to change positions at my job. I will no longer be the secretary of the department, but rather a support tech (technical assistance instead of clerical). I will like this much better ..don't get me wrong..I love being a secretary but the technical part of our job (information systems) is very interesting too..I like to figure things out. This change will happen in a few weeks. My hours will be 12 hour days instead of 8 and working every other weekend. I will have days during the week off however that will allow me day classes on campus rather than cramming all courses in at night. Found out teacher assistants get first dibs on all night courses then the "rest of us" get first come first serve of the remaining seats available. I can't put myself in that "maybe I'll get in this semester" position especially when this job just kinda landed in my lap (God always provides a way). I only have three courses this summer so maybe it won't be as tough as five were this go around. Of course with the change in my hours during the day I'll have to make some small adjustments with routing the kids to and from home to school, etc...but a small sacrafice to make. The upside of this change is that I can study during my downtime in the office lots easier than I was having to try to do at my present position. The office commotion during my study time will be cut down by 90%... seriously.... now you see why I need the change. My boss and I have talked about possibly needing off during the working hours to attend class...she is fine with me clocking out and coming back afterwards...making up the time later on in the week. Benefits and pay remain the same. It just seems too good to pass up and the timing couldn't be any better. How crazy would I be to let this slip by me. I attend Ole Miss in August so my training will be done by then and I won't have that added pressure on top of full-time senior college courses. I'm very optimistic that things will work out.
Peace.
Just had a lot of things going on in my little world. Today we buried my grandmother. She will be missed by many. Just knowing where she is and how healthy she is now makes death much easier to cope with.
Hope all is well your way. Eventually I will get back to crafting more ... it just may be a little while. School keeps me extremely busy !!
It's been a hectic two weeks. Midterms were nerve-racking. BUT THEY'RE OVER!!
No time to craft ... still got more studying to do... I'll keep in touch when I can.
Hope all is doing well your way.
I took a camera class yesterday and learned a lot of new things about my camera. Check out these pictures that I took all by myself. I love the detail in each one. I've uploaded just a few from the 70 pictures I took. These are a few of my favorites..but I have others. LOL. I tend to view things differently through the lens and see beauty in the little things .. like nature's way of aging elements. My point of view and yours is probably a little bit different.. and that's okay !!
I have been interested in some sewing projects lately so I am headed to Hancock Fabrics after work to pick up some material. I've got a few little things in mind that I want to try. IF... and that's a BIG IF .. they turn out cute ... I'll post here to show you. Nothing major...but just something quick and easy.
I'm also thinking if I can make it quick and it goes over well with my friends... I may have to make some for the flea market. My mother and I are going to set up a booth in May and I want a variety of things to showcase.
I have a few things planned with family during the weekend...and besides that...gonna sit back and take it easy for a change!
I am addicted to scrapbooking, paper crafting and a major frog collector.
